What: Bookworms, unite! The third annual Wordstock Book
Fair is a literary feast, with nearly 200 national and regional
authors reading selections from their works on 9 stages, children's
readings and activities, writer workshops and, of course, a two-day book fair
featuring exhibitors, live performances and food.
Why we love it: You'll
get to rub elbows with members of the literati like Dave Eggers.
When: Nov. 10-11, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Where: Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King,
Jr. Blvd.

What: Indulge your inner Augustus Gloop at the 4th Annual Utah Chocolate Show, a two-day expo sure to sate a chocoholic's appetite. Buy treats from local and national vendors, learn secrets from renowned Utah pastry chefs, ogle entries for the wedding cake contest, and eat as much of the sweet stuff as you desire. Just remember to stay away from the chocolate river, if there is one.
Why we love it: You can also burn off the calories in the "I Love My Heart: Will Run For Chocolate" 5K, which benefits the American Heart Association Utah.
