If you liked our snazzy new September issue's feature on the Top 20 Steals for under $200, well I've got another one for you.  Got $20?  Wanna fall asleep to the sound of the pounding surf?  Check it out:

While scouting just south of Half Moon Bay on Hwy 1, I stumbled upon the Pigeon Point Lighthouse (one of the tallest in the country at 115 feet), which I discovered is also a hostel (you can't sleep IN the lighthouse but you can stay in the restored lighthouse keeper's buildings a stone's throw away).  Shared or private rooms, fully equipped kitchens, free WIFI, and free history walks led by docents.  And starting at $20/night?  Yeah, I'd call that steal #21.  And the scenery?  Speaks for itself...

That's me (and my red bag!) with the ominous Prison Rock in the background (fisherman used to get stranded there when the tide got too high, hence the foreboding name).  Wanna get closer?

The beach at Whaler's Cove is a pretty gorgeous spot to chill and take it all in...

So in the continuing spirit of steal-seeking, don't keep 'em secret!  Help us add to our list and share your favorite steal on the coast!
