As The New York Times reports, holiday bargains aren't just reserved for flat-screen TVs. Airlines, cruises, resorts, ski vacations, even car rentals are all going on sale, as companies watch their earnings flatline for the holiday season.

So if you're thinking about staying home in December, here are a few reasons to reconsider:

Air Canada lists ski hotel deals starting at $72 north of the border and $114 in the US (and that's in Canadian dollars, which doesn't mean as much as it used to, but still.)

American Airlines has a holiday sale tool where you can find what dates are the cheapest to fly (on Dec 24 and 25 you can fly between Los Angeles and Las Vegas for a cool $69).

Expedia is offering last-minute bargains like hotel stays from $20.

(A note with Expedia—since it is a discount site, booking holiday flights from it can be risky since you're usually a low-priority ticket. Unless you're OK with getting bumped from an oversold flight, it's better to book with the airline directly).

Happy bargain hunting!

Inflation and Recession have barely spared any industry. Most of the industries in US and the world over have paid dearly. However, growth even amidst these gloomy scenarios has kept certain sections of the hospitality industry alive, as for example http://www.fortunehotels.in/HotelResort/main.aspx?ContentId=DoWyFG8YQHDcvkdmIpH9rw==&HotelID=jjzMpzSjmet8b1CqrZapPg== hotels Bangalore.
